Beaphar Dimethicare is a coat spray for dogs and cats from 12 weeks of age that disables parasites without the use of chemical insecticides. The active silicones (dimethicone) form a sticky layer around fleas, ticks and other parasites, causing them to become immobilised and either fall out of the coat naturally or be easily combed out.
Unlike chemical treatments, Dimethicare works purely physically. This makes it suitable for animals that cannot tolerate insecticides and allows use both during infestation and for prevention. The spray also conditions the coat with Aloe Vera and does not leave a sticky residue.
No chemical insecticides – physical action with dimethicone
Works against fleas, ticks, mites, lice and small biting insects
Effective on flea eggs and larvae as well
Non-sticky finish, conditions with Aloe Vera
Suitable for dogs and cats from 12 weeks
Immobilises parasites, does not kill — follow-up combing/treatment required
Effective for 8–10 days, repeat use needed
In case of infestation, the environment must also be treated
Shake before use. Spray against the hair growth from approx. 10 cm distance until the coat is slightly damp. Avoid eyes, ears and mouth. Comb through to distribute and allow to dry.
In case of infestation: once dry, rinse thoroughly, let the coat dry and treat again, or combine with Dimethicare Line-on.
Preventive use: repeat every 8–10 days. Always treat the environment to prevent re-infestation.
Choose this spray if you want a non-chemical alternative that is suitable for sensitive animals, for use alongside other treatments, or if you prefer a physical mode of action instead of insecticides.
